OK. Start my blog off :)

This is the family wraith blog of at least my part of my family. Whether or not other parts of the family join in on this little enterprise remains to be seen. However, I’m here all the same. So what is the point of all this and what am I undertaking at this point in time.

Well, the point? It has no point other than making sure people have no excuse for not know what I am up to and what am I undertaking at this point in time. Well from the families point of view I’m doing some family research. Both sides related to me, the Wraith’s and the Smith’s. The Smith tree is large and extensive, the Wraith tree somewhat incomplete past the easy to find relatives.

To aid me in my quest, I just bought a damn fine scanner and photo printer (Photo here). This enables me to scan loads of the images I have available to place them on the web and also to scan allot of the negatives that I no longer have the hard copy of. Today I tested a scanning a negative from 1907 which seemed to work a treat. After scanning it and 5 mins of cleaning it up produced a nice image which could be printed.
